Made me own floral crown

DIY floral crown

Went to Praise Haven Salvation Army at Upper Bukit Timah Road yesterday to look for unwanted necklaces for a DIY project however to me and my friend's disappointment, there were no necklaces. We search the whole place, and no sign of necklaces. Without necklaces, we can't do our DIY project.

After countless of searching, we came across a small section filled with flowers, (of course artificial ones duhhhhhhh!). The flowers are gorgeous!. We were awed by how beautiful they look like even though they're fake!. Since there is no necklace, we thought of making floral head crown using those flowers.

Out of many selections of artificial flowers, we pick only a few which stands out the most. When we picked out, we didn't realise the pricing for each flowers. Each stalk cost $2. We have god knows how many flowers in our hand. So i decided that we should re-select the ones that we really want. We can't afford to buy all of them because we had a budget.

It was super quick decision as to which flower should we get. If only we had more money, we would grab them all but sadly, we're on a tight budget. Nonetheless, we were happy with the final decision.

After that, we continued on exploring the place (ps: it was our first time there) to search for something unique that we can purchased. I came across this gorgeous vintage fuchsia pink skirt with bold prints. I picked it up and immediately fell in love with it. Checked the price, 10 freaking bucks! On the other hand, my friend was still searching, she found this studded belt. I find it ugly but she finds it okay. She thought of buying it. I told her it's up to her but i was praying she wouldn't get it cause it's damn ugly.

We continued on with our search, found this cute off-white blouse with black prints on it. Showed it to my friend and she love it. After awhile, we got tired of searching, we went to the cashier and paid for our items. Guess what, the flowers cost only about $7 (we counted about $11 for the flowers!) and the skirt + blouse was on 20% discount!. Ka-ching!!!. Total expenditure came to about $20. Right within the budget!

Once paid, we sat for a while because our feet was tired. That's when we decided to make the floral crown. We didn't have any scissors with us so we had to borrow from the salvation army staff (they were very friendly and welcoming too). We make do with whatever we had to make this floral crown. Mind you, we didn't have any glues, scotch tapes and even pliers (to cut the flowers). But we successfully made this beautiful floral crown! :D !!!jdfsijdwI was happy how it turns out and my wish to visit the salvation army, came true. As to whether I'll come back there again to find cool treasures, hmmmmmmmmmm, it depends.

So long my little earthlings. Till we meet again! :D !!!
