Well hello there earthlings! How you doing? Hope everything's well !
Since it's almost the end of September, why not I blog about my favourite items that I've been liking / using in September ! Lets start of with ...
SKINCARE:
CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel: I am in love with this bad boy! I have been wanting to try out a new moisturizer when I found out that my UV Aqua O2 Moisturizer was discontinued. I have searched high and low for a new moisturizer that suits my skin type (Oily and prone to acne near my jawline and forehead) but none that I had tried work wonders for my skin. Some make it worse even! I did quite a lot of researched and read reviews online to find the suitable and highly recommended moisturizers. I was torn between high and low end moisturizers, in the end I chose the one that is in between. According to the website, this moisturizer strengthens the skin moisture barrier, delivers all day hydration and keeping skin looking younger (which I totally 100% agree). It IS a basic moisturizer that means it only hydrates however, it does not target to certain skin problems. I am certainly quite happy that I stumble upon this bad boy! I do notice a difference towards my skin. It is more supple and smooth to touch! Ouh just a reminder, oily skin gals are recommended to use gel-like products due to its light weightness.
Avene- Thermal Spring Water: Bought this out of impulse when I was shopping for my Krabi's trip necessities. Thank God for this mist because Krabi was scorching hot and this keeps my face feeling cool / fresh after I sprayed it all over. Plus it is not scented which to me is important because sometimes my skin reacts to fragrance.
MAKEUP:
020 Nude Beige |
CATRICE All Matte Plus - Shine Control Powder: Cheapest and does its job by leaving my skin a shine-free zone area. The powder is soft and smooth. According to Catrice, it contains light-reflecting pigments that leaves your face looking fresh and flawless, which I don't agree but nonetheless, it mattifies the skin without making it look cakey!
53 Beige Clair |
Bourjois - Healthy Mix Foundation: Finally I get my hands on this baby! And I love it so much! Before I use this, I was using the Revlon's ColorStay 24hour Foundation. I do like it and it is definitely a good foundation for oily skin. However, I do not like the texture of it when I applied on me. It felt heavy and quite sticky for my liking. So I wanted to change up my foundation and bought this baby! Boy, I was happy when I purchased it! It is super light weight and buildable, It does gives that radiance glow but it does not leaves your skin (especially oily skin) looking like a grease ball.
Afternoon Tea |
Topshop - Cream Blush: Bought it on impulse AGAIN. Warning, this is a HOT PINK blusher. A little goes a long way, you don't want to look like a HUMAN PIKACHU !
07 Nude-ist |
01 Always Red |
Bourjois - Rouge Velvet Edition and Sephora - Lip Cream Stain: Favourite two lippies of the month! They are matte texture. The best thing about these products, they do not feel drying on the lips which sometimes you may get on other matte lipsticks. They do not transfer and it is very long lasting. Both are highly raved by beauty gurus on the net!
HAIRCARE:
The Radiant Oil For Body and Hair |
The Body Shop - Wild Argan Oil: Newest addition to The Body Shop range. We all know that Argan oil has many beneficial properties for our skin and hair. I mostly use it on my hair (damp or 2nd day hair). It calms my hair frizzy-ness and moisturizes my tresses. The best part of all about this product is that it makes my hair looking sleek all day long.
FRAGRANCE:
Flora by Gucci: 1966 |
Gucci Fragrance - Flora by Gucci (1966 edition): Though it is under the "Flora by Gucci" range, this one in particular is a limited edition. This is by far my most expensive purchase ever! When it comes to perfume, I prefer those that have a woody base and musky scent to it. 1966 definitely have both elements in it. It does contain rose and peony scent in it too.
Red Door |
Elizabeth Arden - Red Door: Ouhhhhhhhh the signature perfume from Elizabeth Arden. The smell of luxury and sophistication, ahhhhhhhhhhh. Okay, I need to stop!
I didn't buy this perfume, my mom did and I absolutely love it. It has that woody base that I like!
So yeah, that is all for my favourites of the month! Do you have a monthly favourites ? Let me know in the comments below !
Till we meet again, See ya my earthling! Peace be upon you :)
