Hi there friend! Apologies for not posting lately. I was having a terrible week. I hope this coming week would be better *cross-fingers*. So today, I will be talking about my current favourite makeup products. This can be worn all year round. For those of you who are staying in a 4 season country, then this is the perfect summer makeup edit.
First up is Storm Palette by Sleek. This palette has everything you need. You can do different looks with it. Nude or dark, you name it, this palette is perfect to have in your collection. The downside of this palette though, is that it only has 2 matte shades. Both are great transition colours, however, I wish they would have added in more matte colours so that I can have a variety. Aside from that, the eyeshadow quality is good.
Next, is the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation with Comfort Serum. As you know, living in a hot climate you would need a foundation that can last the whole day. The 25H claim is a bit exaggerating, but hey, if it can last a good whole 6-8 hours then it's a steal.
An in-depth review of this foundation is coming up. Stay tune!
Following that is NYX Wonder Pencil and NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk. Instead of using black on the waterline, why not try applying nude colour on it instead? Well, this technique can help brighten up tired looking eyes. I personally like using this as it makes my eyes appear bigger. The Jumbo Pencil, on the other hand, acts as an eye primer. Listen up medium to dark skin people! You need this in your life! I struggle with applying eyeshadow because the colour does not show up well with my skin tone, but since using a white based, it really helps to make the colour pop!
To get that sun-kissed look, I like using my Catrice Sun Glow Matte Bronzing Powder. This stuff is seriously pigmented. A little goes a long way so be careful when applying. In the drugstore is hard to find a good bronzer, but luckily, Catrice does one and it is good. Also, I have yet to try out the Bourjois Bronzing Powder, the one that looks like the chocolate bar.
When the sun is out, you got to take that bold bright lipstick out. Here, I have is MAC's Neon Orange. I don't wear this enough and I really like the shade, especially on me. Something about orange lipstick that brings out the olive tone in me, and helps to brighten dull looking complexion. Note to self: I need to wear this more!
Lastly, having a rosy cheeks. We all want that healthy glow from within. Of course due to stress and unhealthy eating habits, that glow never came out. To cheat this, you need a good blusher with a pink undertone. I have the Topshop cream blusher in Afternoon Tea. This a very intense coloured blush. Almost neon-looking, but with gentle application, this can be very subtle.
So yeah, that's my current favourites. I hope you enjoy reading this. I will try to go back to my normal blogging schedule, promise! Also, if you have tried any of this product, do leave your thoughts in the comment section or if you any recommendation for me to try, do comment below. See you in my next post.
Have a great week ahead. xoxo!
