I was looking through my makeup drawer that I saw these popping up at the back. I did not know that I had these in my collection. Anyway, when I took it out from the drawer, I suddenly remember why and where I got it.
I got this on Carousell last year. Can't remember exactly how much both costs, but I'm guessing $20 for both palette. The reason for my purchase was because at that point of time, I do not have any purple or blue eyeshadows in my stash and I wanted to experiment with colours.
I have not heard anyone talk about Young Blood (YB) cosmetics or see people using it. As soon as I took these out of the drawer, I quickly googled the brand. In short, YB is a luxury mineral cosmetic company that uses mineral compounds found on earth to create products that does not irritate the skin. This brand targets people with skin conditions such as rosacea, acne etc or those recovering from a medical procedure such as laser treatments etc. You can read all about YB here.
With me, I have the Purple Majesty and Mermaid eyeshadow quads. If you have been a long time user of YB products, you may notice that mine is still in the old packaging. Also, these palettes are not available on the website anymore. I'm guessing they have discontinued it.
Back to the eyeshadows, they are soft but not buttery. The colour payoff is okay considering the fact it is made from mineral compounds. Also, because of my skin colour, it does not show off well enough. Most of the eyeshadow, I had to swatched twice to get the colour intensity except for Pink Ocean from the Mermaid Quad whereby I need 2 swatches at least. The eyeshadows are not chalky at all due to the fact that it is satin finish. The packaging, on the other hand, is sturdy. I like the mirror that comes with it and is great for travelling.
