Rimmel's Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Hello there! Today, I will be talking about the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour with Comfort Serum Foundation. I got mine in the shade 400 Natural Beige. Last time, I tried their Match Perfection Foundation in the same shade and I really like it a lot. So I decided to crack this open, and see if I have the same feeling. I have been using the foundation for the whole month of May, and I think I can give you a proper review on it.

First up is the packaging, like the latter foundation I have tried, this too comes in a glass bottle with a pump on it. I have no complains about it except that I think this will add weight into my makeup bag whenever I travel with it.

As for the consistency, Lasting Finish is slightly thicker compared to Match Perfection. In terms of its finish, this foundation dries to a semi matte. Unlike the Match Perfection, which I normally used my fingers to dabbed the product in, Lasting Finish needs a brush to apply as I noticed that whenever I used with my fingers, it does not apply as smoothly as the latter foundation.

I would say this foundation has a medium to full coverage. It does a pretty decent job in covering up my blemishes. You can definitely build this up to get the coverage you desire. As for shade 400 Natural beige, it's a little bit too cool tone for me. To counteract the pink tone, I have to powder my face, and you all know I hate to do that as it makes me look cakey.

Do also take note that this foundation is sticky to touch after each application. Again, I got no choice but to powder my face to reduce the stickiness. In true honesty, I hate the look of my skin I get straight off after applying the foundation, however after a few hours of wearing it I came to like how the foundation looks on my skin maybe it's due to the fact that it mixes with the oil in face. I know this sounds disgusting, but I know there are some of you out there who agrees with me.

Does it live up to the 25 Hours Claim? Of course not! But I noticed that after about 6-7 hours of wear out, there is still foundation left on my skin which is quite surprising, seeing as how oily I can get throughout the day, and the fact that I live in a humid country. I was quite pleased with the longevity.

To conclude, I would only wear this if I'm going to be out all day under the hot sun or else, I will be sticking with my Match Perfection as my everyday foundation. For the price point, this is definitely worth the try.

If you have tried this foundation, please leave your thoughts in the comment section below. For my fellow Singaporeans who want to get hold of this, you can get it here.

See you in my next post, xoxo!
