Sephora's Lip Cream Stain

When liquid lipstick became the "It" thing, I remember seeing lots of beauty guru playing, testing and rocking the trend and at that point of time, it was difficult to get our hands on those liquid lipsticks here in Singapore. Shipping was costly and it can be a burden sometimes. Luckily, Sephora brought out it's own liquid lipstick range or better known as Sephora Collection Lip Cream Stain. And thank you for the Beauty Gods that we have Sephora stores here in Singapore! That is when I owned my very first ever liquid lipstick.

I heard about these from I Covet Thee and Amelia Liana. They were raving about it. Being their hardcore follower, I had to give these lipsticks a whirl. So I bought 01 Always Red, and then later I got the shade, 10 Mandarin Muse.

Let's first talk about application. I was quite surprised at how easy it is with these bad boys. They glide on very smoothly onto the lips. The doe-foot applicator that comes with it is very precise. It is nicely design to fit into the smallest part of the lips. Some applicators are hard, but this is made from a soft material hence, you will can get a smooth application with it

In terms of pigmentation, boy oh boy these does not lie! Bearing in mind, a little goes a long way. Always Red applies very smoothly without any patches. Mandarin Muse on the other hand, is a tad bit patchy and may need more time to work on the lips. Also, Mandarin Muse is little dry compared to Always Red. Into the longevity department, these last up to 6 hours max. Touching up is no biggie for Always Red, but for Mandarin Muse, you got to be careful because it can get really nasty.

In a jungle full of liquid lipstick, you will not think to pick up Sephora's version because, firstly, it may not be as good as the other famous/hype up lipsticks out there and secondly, nobody cares about Sephora's owned products. Well, you better think twice because these beauties are not as bad as you think it will be.

Overall, I find that Sephora owned liquid lipstick are a hit! I have yet to try other liquid lipsticks and I can't do any comparison, but if you are into this kind of formula then do give it a try. They retails for SGD$25. You can either get them at any Sephora stores or at their website.

What are your thoughts on Sephora's Lip Cream Stain?
Will you compare these liquid lipsticks with other brands?

I shall see you in my next post, xoxo!
