Look // Wedding Affair

I don't think it's the wedding season but a lot of people I know are either getting married or engaged. And here I am wondering what makeup to put on that will match my outfit. In order not to upstage the bride/groom, I decided to go with the minimal. Though from the picture it looks like I'd put a ton of product on my face, but believe me, I looked like my normal everyday self with a touch of fabulous in it.

As you all may have already know, most Malay weddings are usually held at the void deck and the situation there can get pretty hot and sweaty so in order to avoid a makeup meltdown, you will need to use base products that will last and hold longer than usual. So here, I'm using my Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation. This stuff seriously stays on my "oil sleek" face throughout the whole day. Better if you have a primer. Double the protection.

To conceal and correct, I'm using my Collection Long Lasting Perfection Concealer and NYX Dark Circle Concealer. The Collection concealer has a yellow undertone that helps to brighten underneath my eye area, whereas the NYX's has a peach undertone to cancel out my eerie under eye circles.

I then added Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder to give that sun-kissed look. Remember do not go overboard with it or you'll ended up like an Oompa-Loompa! As for the cheek, I pop my current obsession blusher from NYX in the shade Coral Dream

For my eyes, I can't be bothered to add colour to it and so I only did a winged eyeliner using the Silkygirl Double Intense Gel Eyeliner and tight lined my bottom lash line with the Wonder Pencil from NYX to give me that illusion of a fresh looking face. As for mascara, I'm using the same old mascara from Essence, Lash Princess. To get the perfect brows, I used my other current obsession which is the ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil. This brow pencil can mimic brow hairs and it only cost less than $10. To top it all off, I use the NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel

Lip menu for the day was the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition 07 Nudist. This has been a staple in my makeup bag as it gives my lips that wash of colour. Last but not least, to keep the oils at bay, I set my makeup with the L.A. Girl HD Pro Setting Powder

I hope this post is helpful. Have a great weekend ahead !

Cheers, xoxo !
