When it comes to pastel coloured nail polishes, I tend to stay away from it, because I thought these colours don't suit my skin tone. I do want to try them out because it looks nice on others. and also, I wanted to give a try on Barry M nail polishes as I heard alot of good things about it.
Barry M does a have a nice selection pastel coloured nail polishes. Lucky me, when I was in Boots at that time, they were having 2 for £7.00 and so I had to pick them up. I got the shades Freestyle (pastel rose) , Stop the Clock (pastel yellow), Pitstop (pastel grey) and Pole Position (bright pastel mint). Out of the 4 that I bought, my favourite is Freestyle. This shade is a subtle pink rosy colour that looks almost nude on me. Due to its subtleness, it makes the perfect nail polish for work.
One of my many pet peeves in the world is waiting for my nail polish to dry. However, because these are from the quick dry range, as the name would suggest, it dries down quickly. The brush in this is a flat tip. According to the website, these style of brushes makes application easier which I agree on it. It does helps to get into the line around the cuticles much easier.
We all know that pastel shades are hard to apply. Out of the 4 , Stop the Clock was the most difficult to work with as it applies streaky on me, because of that, I would need 3 coats of it to get that intensity. The rest, I would only need 2 coats. Longevity wise, I have not tested it out properly, but I suspect, it would be like any other nail polishes, it will last for about 3-5 days (w/o top and base coat) on me.
I would definitely want to get some more nail polishes from Barry M as I see they have some beautiful colours. If you want to get your hands on Barry M nail polishes, you can get it on ASOS.com.
Have a great weekend ahead! See you in my next post x!
